Alex primarily defends individuals, corporations and municipalities in employment related matters, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, wrongful termination, and civil rights violations.

Alex also defends public officials and boards of education in various school and education matters, including claims brought pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, and Title IX, as well as claims of bullying arising under state law.

Alex practices in both state and federal court, including the Connecticut Appellate Courts and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, in addition to the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Education Office of Civil Rights, and the Connecticut Department of Labor.
